That is a lot of great information. However I still disagree with the idea that masks are entirely worthless. The usual store-bought cheap variety will leak around the sides about 30 to 40%. It's understandable how that will not protect anyone. However, a properly configured mask with good filter material added and attention to reducing the leakage cannot fail to reduce the respiratory droplets that are airborne. I am not concerned with individual virus particles that may somehow find their way to being airborne without riding on a respiratory droplet. From my studies I have come to believe that an intact immune system can easily handle up to 300 of these individual particles a day without problem. It is probably advantageous for your immune system to receive small samples of the viruses traveling around, so it has something to do. A respiratory droplet is the size of a planet next to an individual particle. There could be thousands or millions of particles of virus traveling on a respiratory droplet.
