Here is the biggest absurdity:

I studied criminal psychology. Within that field, there was an exhaustive amount of research done on 'types' of rapists. One type of rapist is best described as a "close friend," of the victim - a guy in the friend zone if you will.

In his misery and need of female companionship, he, at the point of desperation, forces himself upon her. The simple act of exhibiting hatred toward him will break him. i.e. "You weak fucking pussy, how dare you touch me like that? I hate your guts."

Opposite that - the misogynist who hates women, will break off his attack when shown compassion by a woman in the process of becoming his victim, i.e. "I'm so sorry you're like this, we can get help for you, together!" Then of course, escape as soon as he lets down his guard.

Counteracting the motive can break an individual, open them up to reason, and allow the potential victim to escape. Sociopaths are not accounted for in this - they're pretty much fucked up beyond any and all repair and will hunt you like prey, so best be armed because nothing can stop them except lead.

The idea that every rapist hates women is an absurdity - they often do not. The idea that every rapist is "proud" is an absurdity - they often are not. The pope, here, has excused rape as less-sinful when performed out of the idea of love and betterment - which by far, makes up the vast majority of rape cases in the world. There is a very strong reason why many rapists say "she liked it though."

In attempting to redefine the depravity of Sin, the Pope has violated everything established in history. All Sin is evil - there is no "better," only "worse," and losing oneself to sexual desire is among the worst of sins, as it can lead to your own destruction.
