This not saying they’ll love dogs cats etc more than God! He speaks to the creature of a human being… before salvation he is no more than cattle to God but after he/she is a son or daughter until he accepts that God created us and we are sinful until we listen to the word, that is Christ, and allow him to dwell in us! Then we are transformed to more than mere beast!

Now see he was not saying they’d love their dog more than him! Actually there is a verse that says a man will regard the life of his beast! Sure there maybe and are animal worshippers that is simply false gods/idol worship
