Indeed. But do you remember who actually helped the Bolsheviks? As they say, "an enemy of my enemy is my friend"... though Germany was an enemy of the British Empire during WWI, the Russian Empire was not exactly a friend of the British Empire.

Remember that whole Crimean War thing? Yup. By no means did the British Empire want a strong Russian Empire. What a great opportunity for the Germans and British to work together to help bring about the downfall of a rising political rival on the world stage 😉

The British, French, Germans and Russians... sometimes friends, sometimes enemies, but ALWAYS rivals vying for world dominance. They've been playing Risk in the real world for centuries longer than the board game existed.
