By 2008, Monsanto’s patented seeds and crops were planted on 80 percent of US corn acres, 86 percent of cotton acres and 92 percent of soybean acres and these numbers continue to rise.
I have mostly avoided corn and soy for many years because of the known danger of glyphosate on human health and the environment as well as the unethical practices by the Ag monopolies. I do buy heirloom sweetcorn and tiny purple popcorn from local Mennonites.
