The amount of saving when you don't buy crap is amazing.

I loved movies and worked next to a 1 screen place in a small town. This was in the 90's. So, got to know the manager. At that time movies would take 60% of box office, big movies 70%. Then Spielberg ran Jurassic park or some other big movie, forget which. They wanted 85% box office takes. This is why prices for snacks is high. The place in which you see the movies are not allowed to make money off of them.

Now the studio's are trying to own the theaters outright.
