Omicron is infecting unvaccinated people too though. I know a few who have had it recently, but mildly.

Edited to add: don’t forget that the unvaccinated are less likely to get official PCR tests & add themselves to the daily counts & official statistics. They are likely to just do an antigen if symptomatic, then just tlc & isolate at home without a fuss.
