I agree. Reading the Bible the other night it dawned on me that literally every time Cities were mentioned it was in this context of them being negative places. I'm a newb to the Bible - just seems they are synonymous with badness.

Spiritually I feel it deeply. I'm in a large city and it makes me miserable. A few weeks ago I got to the first Central Texas Sunset I have seen in a long time and my heart swelled up so big it was like God shook me. https://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large-5/central-texas-sunset-2-ronnie-prcin.jpg

Honestly getting a remote satellite system like StarLink so i can work remotely is sounding more and more appealing. Then I can find some remote property near a network of people looking to build a mini community and really dig in for what is coming.

The reality seems to be that most Population Centers are too far gone already to be saved in any meaningful way. Regardless - if they can make it - it's going to be a hell of a dark period before things settle.

They are already locking down the city again bit by bit with a "Red Alert" for COVID due to Omicron.

EDIT: The other thing I am slowly moving to is re-platforming all of my data.

  • Personal backups
  • identity services
  • I physically own my webserver and run my own email etc
  • Almost all networks I maintain are hidden behind VPNs I run myself
