And I've since been trying to find a way to easily obtain the sulfur such that I could make my own Sulfonic Acid/Sulfenic Acid, which is what I think is being described by the old alchemist.

If I'm reading it right, it seems like Onions just provide these by default.

With proper distillation and temperature control in a vacuum, I might be able to replicate the tincture.

Hmm... G-Ma might have been 100% correct, but could have used some help with extracting and concentrating the curative properties.

Edit: Not Sulfonic/sulfenic acid, it's this stuff I think he made in his tincture.

Sulfurous Acid, which is H2SO3

It's the vapors of sulfur. H2SO4 is Sulfuric Acid, which will absolutely wreck your flesh like the blood from Aliens.

Sulfurous Acid is much harder to obtain, as it is unstable and wants to stabilize as either sulfur or sulfuric acid, depending on the reaction.
