Why would a former "Air Force" member want to be buried at sea? Why would anyone go to a protest in DC alone and without telling anyone they know that they are going? Especially if they lived in California!!

Why would an "Air Force" member want to be buried at sea? Why would anyone go to a protest alone and without telling anyone they know that they are going? Why is any active duty member there? I'm pretty sure they all were given a security brief warning them to stay away.
