Not former military or LE..... but I personally think the vast majority will obey orders (their entire structure is built on obeying orders), until there is a full out civil war/ society breakdown. At that time, there would be factions that spit off, but up until that line, THEY WILL COMPLY.

The key is who is issuing the orders. In many rural, suburban areas in red states, and generally places where sanity still exists and progressives haven’t taken over, the police will act in a good way, because they people issuing orders won’t take it too far.

In blue cities and states, all bets are off.
