On this GAW earlier (I don't have the link), a Kiev resident is talking about Zelensky giving guns to everybody, and most of them are in the hands of gangsters, who are going on shooting sprees (gang warfare for dominance).

At least some of the pictures of atrocities look like gang violence than military (like the Van of people and dogs shot up). Just a guess...
