The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) held a Virtual Winter Conference February 28 - March 2, 2022. A bipartisan group of 34 Secretaries of State and Lieutenant Governors, along with nearly 300 senior state government staff, federal, nonprofit and private sector representatives attended the online sessions.
On March 1, NASS was pleased to have the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas join the conference to deliver remarks on the department’s ongoing commitment to supporting election cybersecurity and infrastructure. Also during the session, NASS President-elect and New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way was able to discuss relevant issues facing Chief Election Officials with Mayorkas.
IDEAS Award Finalists – The three finalists for the NASS IDEAS Award recognizing innovation and excellence in state programming were announced:
