Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's office website and those of the interior, health, justice and welfare ministries were down on Monday evening, although some sites now appear to be working normally.
The incident is the largest ever cyber attack carried out against Israel, Haaretz reported. The defence establishment and the National Cyber Directorate have declared a state of emergency to study the extent of the damage.
Checks are being carried out on key Israeli websites and on government infrastructure such as the electric and water companies to see whether they were also attacked.

— NetBlocks (@netblocks) March 14, 2022 The attack hit websites using the ".gov.il" domain, which is used for all government websites except for those related to defence, said the security establishment said.
Despite the interruption in services, some of the websites can still be viewed on smartphone.
