The thing is china cannot manufacture high end computer chips, the kind used in your modern laptops or work computers. They have tried multiple times, failing every time because "made in China" quality is just so low they have zero hope of ever getting a 19nm process to actually work. To make their knock off electronics and 2-bit computers they are buying microchips primarily off Taiwan and then grafting them to sub standard circut boards and even worse programming.
