There was a reason why the DS particularly targeted first responders like the military, law enforcement, fire, medical, etc. When these individuals are taken offline for whatever reason, society can very quickly descend into chaos. It takes years to become a surgeon - years of school and then residency to develop the necessary skills to perform such delicate work. The loss of just a couple of these highly skilled professionals can have some very undesirable consequences. I find this incident sad and concerning.
