I liked The Adjustment Bureau but I thought the romance subplot was silly and unnecessary - it's used to much better effect in The Zero Theorem.
While the two films share some similar concepts, The Zero Theorem takes a very strange and meditative approach. It's loaded with symbolism. For instance, there's a scene where they order a pizza and the delivery woman arrives dressed like an overly-sexualized child... and then this happens:

It's those little details that make The Zero Theorem worth watching. People who haven't been redpilled will just write off the film as "slow and boring."
Anyway, The Adjustment Bureau also has its share of symbolism / truths but on the whole it's more of a straightforward action flick.
