What's the connection... Klein was recruited by then Col. George C. Marshall into military intelligence (cover was an officer in the Illinois National Guard) at the recommendation of former ambassador to the German Empire, James Gerard, through FDR, to go to Nazi Hunting in Los Angeles in 1934. Klein worked under both Navy intelligence and the FBI while financing his operation by running a protection scam on the big Hollywood (Jewish) movie directors of the day... except for the Warner brothers... get the impression they were wise to Klein's con. Reader's Digest version of all this intrigue is 1) The Foreign Agents Registration Act 2) Klein turning over his dirt on LA Nazis to Warren, who was A.G of California who had show trials to corner the Jewish vote for his successful campaign to become Governor of CA and parlayed that stepping stone to become Chief Justice of the United States, 3) Dulles took over running a German diplomat Klein had flipped and uses him (no research to back up the gut feeling that Klein was recruited because he already had a relationship with the diplomat that went back to his school days in Berlin) to, among other things, fake a central role for himself in the surrender of all German troops in Northern Italy near the end of the war. Klein also met Thomas Dodd in his Chicago days... who has this incredibly scripted career, ends an associate justice at the Nuremberg Trials... where the diplomat Klein flipped and Dulles ran gets a pardon (Klein wrote a letter, you see).
Here's Dodd, whose has staff members quit (after copying a lot of his internal files) because they were convinced he was up to his neck in the Kennedy assassination (big Washington D.C. witch hunt around that scandal) having a friendly chat with a guy who may just turn out to be a deep state useful idiot in the long run... having a friendly chat about Dodd and Klein...
