u/SemperSupra, high effort post!

One point strikes a chord, pulling back & pushing harder. I do this on reddit all the time. Am on most of the hard left forums. I continually say the quiet part out loud by taking their already extreme positions even further and argue with the obvious shills that they are not passionate about what they propose.

Typical Reddit-tier post: "Consumer culture is killing the planet."

My response: "Consumption must be regulated down to the smallest level. What we consider insignificant consumption when magnified across the planet is cumulatively an extinction level event. The masses cannot self-regulate, they must be forced into compliance if the species is to survive. The Great Reset must happen, NOW!"

In a non-clown world forum that response should be downvoted into oblivion. But it usually isn't. What's more telling is that is doesn't get upvoted or replied to much either. It just sits there like a turd in a punchbowl setting the tone for the whole thread. Sometimes I'll get an That's a bit extreme and not what we're calling for." reply. That just opens the door to savage them. "That's what a dilettante would say, that you care but not get your hands dirty.". I don't know if it moves any meters but pushing the gas to floor on them is a blast. Make them live up to their own rules.

One point strikes a chord, pulling back & pushing harder. I do this on reddit all the time. Am on most of the hard left forums. I continually say the quiet part out loud by taking their already extreme positions even further and argue with the obvious shills that they are not actually for what they propose.
