I saw a great writeup on Bezos from the Wallstreetbets apes- he didn't make a fortune from Amazon, he made a fortune from his knowledge of stockmarket manipulation. Was a hedge fund VP in wall st in his late 20s. He understood how to cheese the system with certain stockmarket strategies to bankrupt companies and buy their stocks for pennies. Completely annihilated his competitors.
