Makes sense. When my mother went on Coumadin, they told her to try to eat roughly the same amount of foods daily that can have a blood thinning effect. Same principle.

Now that I think about it, the type of foods she was to eat in a consistent way were high Vitamin K foods. Natto is the highest source of Vitamin K.

While I was googling around I found this: "Vitamin K: The secret to healthy blood pressure your doctor hasn’t mentioned."

Also, people in NE Japan like natto a lot. They have stronger teeth than other parts of Japan. Vitamin K helps keep calcium in your teeth and bones instead of being deposited in your blood vessels.

Sounds better than rat poison.
