I’m a little slow, I guess, but in the midst of all of this (and the obvious agenda in regards to masking humanity), I missed the part where this deliberately played on all the insecurities of one of the most vulnerable sectors of our population - pre-teen, teen and college age - who already struggle with the societal “norms” of beauty. What better way to confuse, demean and demoralize children who already believe they’re worthless? Take away their ability to participate in activities that build their self esteem, inundate them with not only impossibly “beautiful” people but now impossibly radical perversions of “beauty” through movies, TV and social media, and then shut off their voices and play on their fears of acceptance by helping them cover up what they already feared was impossibly flawed and you have a completely demoralized young adult who wants only to escape the cruelty of life. We are in such trouble. Fortunately, we have a Redeemer, and I truly believe He will be revealing Himself in very real and tangible ways through this season. It’s only through the Power of Love that we can defeat this evil, and God is everlasting Love. Connecting with Him will help us all understand how we’ve been deceived for so long, and is the path to knowing our true worth. Loved so much that He gave His all for us. I learned years ago that the best place in the Bible to meet Jesus and to learn more about His love and His sacrifice for us was the Book of John - the 4th book of the New Testament. If you are doubting your worth - young or old - the Book of John is Jesus’ love letter to you.
