I've never understood this...a deity creating intelligent beings knowing they will all have an overwhelming desire to do all sorts of things that please them but irritate the piss out of him...and even though he knows in advance exactly what each will do, and when, and to whom, he's angry and vengeful about it, and pleased with their suffering
