We have ceded US sovereignty to both the UN, and the BIS already. Probably the Fed as well, though I haven't looked into the laws for that yet, but I'm fairly certain that happened. Not that it needs to have, because the Fed is an agent of the BIS, thus our sovereign by extension.

The idea that we wouldn't is ludicrous. We did long ago. If this happens again, it is to show the people that we absolutely can and have given up the sovereignty of the nation through our laws (which are identical in function to treaty's), and that these privately owned and managed, but publicly funded institutions already have that power, by virtue of us agreeing to their claims with our laws.
