I was on a boat at nine years old. The motor stalled. A huge ship was coming. Two people on another boat pulled us out of the way then boarded our boat. Their engine burned out. They got ours to start. We were able to barely make it. There was an older man left behind. His boat was sucked under the ship. He knew he was about to die. He was so calm. We saw his boat get sucked under the ship. It was match sticks after that. He probably got diced up in the propeller. He knew he was going to die right then and there. He chose to save us at the cost of his own life. I will never forget. It was on the evening news. He saved my life but died doing so.
