IMHO...A is far enough away from E, even on the tiny phone keypad, that it is likely not an unintentional typo if done by hand.

If he instead spoke the words, idiot-software could easily be expected to insert the more common word "rained" for "reined". (That said, I don't know how you do ALL CAPS in that manner, but that's another topic)
