He may have genuinely believed it was a legit rep and they were doing this to try to bridge a trump/elon relationship in the consensus (of course for nefarious purposes ultimately). Idk if trump personally invests in OAN but he does praise them. No need to cast shade here, I think we still need to be careful about jumping to exterior conclusions and just see some things as an exchange of conversation rather than a stipulation or assumption.
