The left anymore foams at the mouth the way the old Soviets foamed at the mouth, seeing enemies everywhere, and going to war with everything in every direction.
Most people in the West are at least dimly aware the Soviet Union was insane. What they are not fully aware of is HOW insane many of the people in their government internal security were legit ranting fantatics. AND that the Russians were, by far, the most sane and reasonable, laid bad group of the soviets. And had it not been for them, the soviets would have been 100x worse, but also failed 6 times as fast.
One of the hallmarks of soviet insanity is that it existed to "fight an oppressor" and so when they achieve ultimate power, they had to constantly invent enemies to "struggle" against, resulting in their many show trials and other insanity.
This is exactly what Jan 6th is all about. Its an elaborate democrat show trial that is part of a very lame attempt by them to validate their seizure of power.
And the majority of people don't know it was the Russians who killed the soviet union. Eastern Europe clung to it, tried to continue it, and the soviets there never forgave Russia for its "treason."
Because while America did put a lot of pressure on them, actually external pressure and threat can unify a people behind their leadership. Which is exactly what was happening to the Soviets, a bloc of soviet hardliners had formed that wanted to institute a a first strike against the USA in the late 1980's. In response the Russian, Mikeal Gorbachev, issued a degree to annul the soviet union, and Russia's withdrawal from the Union. Hours later his compatriot, the Russian Boris Yeltsin captured the soviet parament with the military, to excise them from Russia, now an independent nation from the union. Thus the Russian-Soviet "war" was VERY swiftly won by the Russian-loyalists in the former Soviet army, if I recall actual shooting didn't last longer than a week in 1989, in fact it was over before the Western News could even figure out what was going on.
And in the following years, if I recall right, most of the Soviet loyalists in Russia were either executed, or exiled. And thus began Perestroika, the oft clumsy, but commited efforts by Russians to reform Russia away from the catastrophe of the Soviet Union. Yeltsin was granted the leaderhip thanks to his very swift victory in the very short civil war, and he did the best he could. But I think in the end he was outmenuvered by Western vultures who decended on Russia to loot it bare.
Which caused the Russian oligarchs to back Putin and push him to power. Who hast in turn, since about 2001, has proven himself a very deft and able leader, capable of out maneuvering the Westen crazies and old Soviets...but that is a different discussion...
Without Russia providing the "spine" the, union swiftly collapsed afterwards.
I don't think it even lasted a year. East Germany swiftly collapsed to a popular revolt without the fear of the mostly-Russian army to suppress their deeply unhappy population, and the Eastern Europeans desperately tried hold on as communist dictatorships, some longer than others, because nobody actually cares about Eastern Europe, but all fell in the end as well. Also notable most of the "and everybody starved as they were being shot in the streets" insanity came from this short lived period of communist dictatorship over Western Europe. This was not the Soviet Union.
In fact many of the collapsed due to the machinations of one George Soros, which in the end has been so bad for them, they should have just stayed commies, but that has more to do with Gorge being absolutely fucking evil than anything.
Now we see the same patterns of insanity out of the Lefties in the USA. Its my long running theory that the mad, radical socialists, saw their opportunity in the US by exploiting the weakness in its fractured democracy. Now the madmen run the USA...and are launching it to the same failed state situation the Soviets suffered.
And in the end, the Democrats absolute HATE for Russia, does give me pause. The only group of people who have actual cause to go foaming at the mouth in frothing haterd for the Russians are the soviets themselves. One should really be looking, how many people with connection to early 1990's Eastern Europe are currently in the democrat regime?
