People who are all set to obey any and every blatantly unconstitutional "law" that comes knocking might not be ready to live free or die, to die on their feet rather than live on their knees. For American patriots, it's our chief defining characteristic.

I draw the line at being herded into concentration camps by totalitarian dictators. I will literally kill any who come and try and make that happen; and I will absolutely see to it that I die before I will ever be taken captive.

Live Free or Die should really be the national motto IMHO.

In God We Trust is good, although there are a lot of humans who trust in God and are living in illegal confinement, or abject slavery, right now. Some are being tortured today. That isn't what God created us for.
