I never denied that protests and issues aren't taking place in the Netherlands. FYI, half of my extended family are from and live in the Netherlands, so it draws a particular interest from me.
But there are a few things here:
ONE. the protest in this photo is a very large one. The photo gives the (incorrect) impression that what is happening right now is what is represented in the photo.
I am yet to see photos or images that show this level of scale in the current events. That's not to say it's not so, but how would we know if the images being posted are NOT current?
Earlier in the year, we went through the FAKE news media posting old and fake photos of 'dire events in Ukraine', deliberately misrepresenting the real situation. There's a reason we should aspire to accuracy. It's important.
Yes, this may be an Old photo from 2019 but that does not make the Story/situation False...nor does it detract from the facts on hand...
TWO, you did NOT post a story. Did you post any facts here? You posted a picture with a caption. If you'd posted: "Dutch Farmers are Refusing to Back Down (their fighting spirit illustrated by this photo of a protest from 2019)" who would have any reason to think that your caption is inaccurate?
I know, I know. You don't care if it's slightly inaccurate or misleading, as long as you "get the information out there". Each to his own, I guess.
Note: I wrote: pedes are posting stuff about the netherland that is NOT current and is NOT related to the current situation

Absolute BULLSHIT
But is it? Someone posted a photo of an iron-clad tractor claiming "Dutch Farmers are putting armor on their Tractors!" when the photo was from something completely unrelated to the Netherlands.
That's all I'm saying. Not that the situation in the Netherland isn't serious, habbening or highly noteworthy. I'm saying, some people are posting random stuff without even checking it's veracity. That's not something I think is appropriate or helpful to the board. But maybe that's just me.
