I think both points of view can be held at the same time. Seems like I have to laugh, shake my head, and cry sometimes just to maintain some sanity watching people hold on to their normie delusions as if it's their most precious possession. It's almost Smeagol "my precious" level of scary, weird, disturbing, and infuriating to witness at this point.
