I think the most interesting thing I remember were the water tests. I.e. water always finds it's own level.
Apparently there were experiments done in long lakes / rivers, that were straight for 7 miles or more. And they had one guy at one end with a telescope, slightly above the water level, then at the other end, a marker just above water the same height.
What should happen is that the guy with the telescope shouldn't be able to see the marker, because of the curvature of the earth, but he could, suggesting that earth was either flat, or at least not as curved as we believe it to be.
I think some newer tests were done using laser light, which showed similar results.
