Shutting down the economy would be an appropriate response if they didn't have the fiat press. It would still work crashing the dollar and government but it would take longer for all to realize bonds, bills and notes will not be honored. That fact in and of itself is the most terrifying possiblity the government faces. They live off our labor, if we refuse consent they die like the parasites they are.
