It was a blessing when all you had to worry about was the Cadmium and Lead levels in the tobacco, but now days with reconstituted tobacco and fire retardant chemical in the papers, the list of poisons now added are many many more.

Definitively makes you old before your time. Old leather skinned, toothless, no hair, brown stained fingers, ashtray smelling, scarecrow looking skeleton of a woman. ( I shudder to think ) No loving for the wicked or the ugly in this world, best you just climb your yellow and black butt back up on that band wagon, while there's still time for self preservation and hope for esoteric beauty.

So expensive too, packs are close to what, $10 a piece now, cartons run at about $90 ? I'm seriously thinking of growing some tobacco next year as a cash crop. (Or bootlegging them from across the border, someone else was saying they're $30 a carton south of the border, last time I bought a carton I think it was $12).

For many years I rolled my own cigars. I gotta liking them expensive Cuban Cigars ( so smooth, so sweet, so silky, few can even come close to comparisons ) from my time in Brazil, story of my life, whiskey wants on beer budgets.

The raw leafs are relatively inexpensive and I could buy them, just not the finish cigar, I just had to learn how to treat them, (they have to be fermented in order to break down the sugars and bring out the flavors) process them, roll them, and store them. I still have the oak molds and half cuchillos and the humidor I made from my cigars rolling days. (A pipe is much easier, even with the constant cleaning) But I do Love a good cigar from time to time. If they weren't outlawed I probably never would have taken the time to learn how to do all that. When someone tells me I can't, well you gotta know, the forbidden cigar taste so much sweeter.

I caught me a double dose of that "oppositional defiant disorder" when I was just a little bitty baby, don't tell me you can't.

The cost of production per pack of cigarettes is at about 50¢ these days, that's a lot of money you're giving to the government in sin taxes, don't you think they get enough of your hard earned dollars? Money grubbing Bastards...

It's always good to be the Master of your life, and not the Slave to your addiction.

Let me know how I can help.
