Long time; first time. Thank you all for your contributions. There is very little I can add to this board, but this question is incredibly important and meaningful. If ever there was a question to sticky, this is one. EVERYONE should have a story. Each reason is relevant at this point in history. Thank you, original poster, for posing this topic.

As for my story, I was at an event in late Jan of 2020 sitting next to an economist from the 1980s. He was the key speaker and among economics blah, blah, blah, he mentioned this Chinese flu, and how these “P1” events (low probability but still probable) can wreck an economic model. In Q&A, I ask, “WTF was that about Chinese flu? Were you making an example or WTF?”

So, I an trying to find out more about this Chinese flu thing. Within a week I’m visiting w a Dr. acquaintance and i bring it up. He just so happened to have studied coronavirus in his doctoral program. I’ll be forever grateful to him because he told me that this is not going to harm healthy people.

Then I’m skeptical, but did not shut down my business. All employees were on board, and no one got the shot. We shared info (and we are good at research). The shot made no sense. Why is this “vax” an mRNA and not a weaker form like all other vax?? If mRNA is so great, why haven’t we converted the existing vaxes? Nothing added up.

Then my eyes were starting to open!

And even then pressure was intense. From colleagues. From family. From friends. Other parents. Kids. Community. Did you want to go to your Community Civic Org meeting and potentially infect the old folks? People you respect would talk about it, which created peer pressure. Then that marketing bullshit that you might have Covid with no symptoms and you might infect everyone, so get vaccinated. Yeah, as the saying goes, “Pepefarms Remembers!”

Then the vaxed started with their propaganda. Pepefarms Remembers that bullshit, too. If you haven’t read A Tale of Two Cities in the last 2 years, please do so. You’ll get it like never before.

I do not thank the Lord enough for guiding me through that valley of the literal shadow of death. Ponder on that as you reread Psalm 23.

Needless to say, tge pressure and marketing wore me down. I got very weak. People weren’t dying like I read would happen. And again I do not thank the Lord enough for aligning my life to intersect with my wife. She was stronger than I have ever seen many women. It was amazing. Without her I would have capitulated (and vax or no vax tore families apart).

I believe there is a reason that you came through that point in time. It is as close to a miracle as I have witnessed.
