You're right. The choice to repent of our sins and seek forgiveness is up to us, though.

Galatians 5:19-23

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Most heterosexuals have fornicated at some point in their lives. If they do not repent of these sins, they too will not inherit the kingdom of God.

FORNICA'TION, noun [Latin fornicatio.]

1. The incontinence or lewdness of unmarried persons, male or female; also, the criminal conversation of a married man with an unmarried woman.

2. Adultery. Matthew 5:32.

3. Incest. 1 Corinthians 5:1.

4. Idolatry; a forsaking of the true God, and worshipping of idols. 2 Chronicles 21:11, Revelation 19:2.

Being attracted to somebody of the same sex is not immoral. It's a temptation.

It's immoral to act on those temptations, assuming you believe the Bible is the Word of God.

If you don't believe the Bible is the Word of God, and that is your choice, who cares what a Bible believing Christian thinks?

To speak the points of the OP, it's worth reading on-

Galatians 5:24-26

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

So we should be loving one another and not provoking them, especially if we're puffing ourselves up in the process.

The second you think you're better than another sinner because you don't commit the sins they're guilty of is the second you need to humble yourself and repent of your sinful pride.
