Amen to all that you said.

This is a spiritual war - which leads to an interesting alternate way to interpret 'the military is the only way'...

While skipping a few theological details, 'believers that have died and gone to heaven' are considered the 'Church Triumphant', while 'those of us still fighting in the world' are the 'Church Militant'. Is that not a military?

Those of us who form the Body of Christ are fighting the forces of evil, and spreading truth. (Personally, within the bounds of a spiritual war, I warmly welcome non-believers who are actively fighting on the side of the 'true good'.)

And while the US Military might need to work covertly, the 'Church Militant' is free to fight in the open - (as we are called to do) - and we have been gaining strength throughout this whole ordeal.

And thus ends my Sunday morning diatribe.
