The GMO mosquitoes were in the works for over a decade out of the Miami University. When they decided to go with the program of eradicating mosquitoes after finding no use for them in the species ladder of survival they gave the program to Bill Gates to do. Long before Ron DeSantis became the governor. He had nothing to do with it. There aren't any more deadly diseases coming out of mosquitoes. They could not spray the neighborhoods enough with deet. The worry is upsetting the food chain as everything on Earth has a purpose. After a 10-year study they could not find one use for the mosquito. I just hope they didn't miss anything! If they did we won't be living long enough to see the end of the food chain from eradicating mosquitoes.
