I wonder if he's got some medical problem like Porphyria which is a genetic problem of the blood causing people to not be able to tolerate sunlight which causes blistering, is worsened by garlic and receding gums, making their teeth look long. Their urine is dark brown. In the olden days, doctors prescribed blood and rest. They would be active at night to avoid the sun.
