Germany was first to cancel Russian NG imports, which caused a sharp increase in energy prices across Germany. The German people were very upset by this. I believe public backlash was beginning to make the government waver. The Nord Stream pipeline bifurcates into 2 pipelines (Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2) in international waters. There are a total of 3 major leaks. It is very unlikely something like this could happen naturally. The detection of "blasts" by the Swedish government, along with the massive size of the leaks seem to point to sabotage.
The question to be asked is-- "Who benefits?" Germany? Russia? United States? Ukraine? To me, the answer is staring us in the face with the headline posted above. Then there's Joe Biden's own words giving us an odd sense to its meaning. When he doubled down after being asked to be more specific, he smirked.
The next question is interesting-- "How will this play out in the news cycle?"
And "Will there be a public backlash?"
"How will Russia respond?" "Will they send an underwater team to determine the cause?" All 3 of the major ruptures are in international waters.
