It's a good post. The ramifications of the sabotage are the most concerning to me. At this point, it is minutia precisely how the sabotage occurred. We can all agree that it was sabotage. I recall 911 when it happened, the same thing occurred, while the overall ramifications of the event was lost. We are living the results of those overall ramifications on that tragic day. IMHO, what is immediate is answering questions like-- who benefits and why did the sabotage occur? What will happen now?
For answering the reason 'why' the sabotage occurred is because it was directed against the German people, not the Olaf Scholz government, but those 'out-of-line' German protesters who were destabilizing the entire NATO proxy war against Russia.
German chancellor, Olaf Scholz was ordered by NATO and the EU to shut down Russian LP imports. When he did so, prices sky-rocketed. Germany is viewed as the wild card in the war against Russia. The German public started protesting and German industry leaders like BASF pushed back against the Scholz decree and warned that they would be forced to shut down if energy prices were to continue to rise. BASF and other mega-corporations employ lots of German citizens. The protests grew and were beginning to sway Scholz to back down on the banning of Russian energy imports. Then BOOM, BOOM, and BOOM, three massive explosions occur and three massive ruptures to both the Nord Stream pipelines occurred. Each one was recorded by Swedish seismologists and determined to having the signatures of massive detonations. The very same day, Poland and Denmark announce the opening of the Norwegian LP pipeline which connects Norwegian gas from the North Sea to Poland.
The Warsaw government now has great leverage over all of Germany's industry. How does one control an economic giant like Germany, which funds the vast majority of the EU? Germany is now more of a slave ant having to obey the dictates coming out of Belgium, while funding the very EU that doesn't really have the German people's best interest in mind. In fact, other European countries are afraid of and hate Germany. No longer is Germany a wild card in the uni-polar financial war that uses NATO to make war against the Russian led multi-polar financial system of BRICS. Where Germany goes, so does the EU.
There is NO possibility the leaks were caused by some natural anomaly. The construction of these pipes themselves tell us otherwise. These pipelines are extremely robust and would withstand even powerful earthquakes. The steel pipe itself has a wall of 1-5/8 inches, and it's coated with another 2-3/8 to 4-5/16 in. of steel-reinforced concrete. Each section of the pipe weighs 11 tons, which goes to 24-25 tons after the concrete is applied.
Who benefits from this? NATO does more so than any single government. Albeit, Poland, gets Kudos for backstabbing. I'll leave what will happen now for another time. I believe the question there to be answered is how important is Russian sale of energy to Europe?
