Without trust in government and the media, the power of all other institutions is next to nothing, or at least they can be overcome. Since it is the media that creates our collective "truth," as the "fourth branch of government" (but really there is only one branch of government), it is the media that is in fact the greatest enemy. It is the "One Ring" that rules us, through our beliefs of what is "real."
