My mistake on that reference. I typed Hickok but meant Donovan. "Wild Bill" Donovan, a devout Irish Catholic, was head of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) from 1942-1945.

Think Operation Paperclip and the alliances with the Red Cross and the Roman Catholic Church which were instrumental in pulling that operation off.

The OSS added many Nazi officers to its ranks before the war ended and its transformation into the CIA. The Nazis were allied with the Roman Catholic Church and the Church has never renounced that alliance. In fact, the Lateran Treaty is still in effect.
