Therapeutic Prepper Advice:

  1. Learn Qigong breathing so you can remain self-regulated.

  2. a. Create a tool box to resources and make concrete step by step individualized plans to manage your mind. Examples of resources: Bible verses, photos of happy times, guided meditation, therapeutic aids, herbs for calming: hops, Passion flower, valerian, kava kava, rhodiola, magnesium, 5-htp.

b. Find your area Patriot trauma therapists, if that appeals to you, preferably one who does not use techniques that retraumatize, or weaken the spirit.

If you have unresolved trauma issues, work with someone who will help you recognize and manage your triggers. FYI: be aware that disruptive responses can come on in the form emotional flashbacks.

I will try to post the best treatment manual I know of to catbox. It’s called, “Risking Connections.”

  1. Make a schedule and follow it. Include exercise, preferably include aerobic movements of your limbs to expend emotional energy; have a variety of music playlists at the ready, find a way to be in nature, grow a plant, get sunlight, keep a self-care routine (showers can do wonders), correct your diet if need be, rest & sleep as needed. Balancing your time is key.

  2. Be with frens. Healing together is the only way.

  3. Get a copy of a TFCBT manual. Read it now.

  4. Get committed to a hobby you can immerse yourself into.

  5. Pray

  6. There are many survivors or unspeakable acts of depravity. Even the CIA torture manuals point out how qigong breathing & trauma resolution skills are the keys to emotional balance.

  7. Manage your boundaries🙏🏻.
