I wrote earlier this was a possibility. I wrote the following:

Truss is a placeholder in the UK's unfolding tyranny. There are 5 stages of a Tyranny and its psychological effects on the general public. I'll mention the first 3 stages because this is what the UK is dealing with right now. In an unfolding tyranny the population always finds itself initially in a state of Disbelief. As the tyranny unfolds, Anger is the next reaction the public experiences. As it quickly grows, this is the point to which the regime is most vulnerable and it needs to act to quell the growing anger. This is also the point to which the population has the best chance of overthrowing the regime and thereby ending it. The preferred method of the regime is to trick the populace in believing things have changed and the tyranny is coming to an end. This is favored over using force because doing so may ignite and only fan the flames of anger and protest/rebellion. It is the Bargain/offer stage most prevalently used by the tyrannical regime. It is older than time immemorial itself and has been used again and again throughout history. The Bargain/offer is made between the public and the ruling regime. Sometimes a deal is made with the betrayal of an opposing leader or/and others.

The 'change for the better' is a preferred method for accomplishing this. Look at NY Governor Andrew Cuomo and how he was decapitated. At first he was venerated, then he became over-exposed and tarnished by scandal. The MSM then suddenly turned on him. The regime promised him an easy out if he agreed to fall on his sword. His resignation came with dismissal of all charges. Who replaced him? Another tyrant in Kathy Hochul. She is even more hated than Cuomo was. Look at the UK, they did the same thing with Boris Johnson as they did with Cuomo. Who replaced Johnson? Johnson's hand picked Liz Trust. In Australia the same thing happened. I believe Liz Trust is a place holder for someone else, who will not only follow the democidal policies of Johnson, but will be far more ruthless in doing so.
