That was both hilarious and revolting. I know there are other nurses on here that can corroborate, but my day as LPN in a long term care facility goes like this: Clock in, do med count and patient reports with previous nurse. Spend the next eight to nine hours passing out medications, checking vitals, making sure dementia patients aren't trying to escape (they are), check blood sugars and give insulin. Answer call bells that never stop and pretend to take a meal break by punching out and in again. With 30 to 35 patients per shift, that's a lot of work with no break. But worst of all: I've never been able to locate the Meditation Room at any facility where I've worked.
