Funny enough, I literally studied airflow in confined spaces in depth as part of a nanotechnology course (for working in clean rooms) immediately prior to Covid. It is easily one of the most obvious signs that the response didn't even attempt to apply real science, that these useless barriers were adopted everywhere. The whole thing about Covid not being airborne was yet another thing that was disproved early on, yet measures were never adjusted to account for this information.
