I think maybe the reason why this entire thing is taking so long is the enemy is holding the country hostage with something. Possibly a nuke. Maybe the economy. Maybe a foreign invasion. Who knows. But eventually the rock is going to meet the hard place and something is going to have to give. Once the enemy plays all of their cards shit is going to get real very fast.
