It isn't in any way controversial that numerous "God's" are named in the OT. The "controversy" is that some believe they are different names for the same God. The people that believe that are likely either disinformation agents, "true believers," or just ignorant of the original text.

The Bible, as written, almost certainly contains a lot of valid information. The teachings of Jesus are very valuable, however, if you read the rest of the Gospels, the ones left out by the Nicene convention etc., the teachings are very different than the tenets of the "Christian Church". Jesus is the Son of God. We are all the Sons and Daughters of God. That is what Jesus was trying to tell us. We are all "The Divine Spark." We all come from Source.

It is so obvious that was what he was trying to say when you read all the stuff they left out. The fraud of those who created the Christianity we have today, was to separate us from God. We were taught to be Subjects to their Rule, through the formalized Religion. That also isn't really controversial. The Christian Religion we have today was created by Emperor Constantine. Through him we have a Bible with 66 books (or 72 if you are Catholic). But as many as 200 or so books were left out of the "official" version that was crafted over 300 years after Jesus.

The tenets of that religion were made into Law to ensure that all the people would transfer to this new religion. Thus the Roman Empire became the Holy Roman Empire, with the pope as the Divine Emperor (God-Emperor).

That was the entire purpose of the Religion we have today. That doesn't mean that Jesus didn't have really good things to say, but there is a ridiculous amount of evidence that suggests it was fucked with, just like everything else, to subject us to their rule.
