They hate him because they're told to hate him by the media, politicians, sports "stars", "celebrities", etc. They mistakenly believe that they are righteous/ morally superior in doing so and that they're the majority because that's how the media portrays it. Seemingly intelligent people I know fell into this trap. Truly pathetic.
